Chapter 15-“Then and only then can we perhaps move on with our lives.”

Chapter 15 iNovel Link

“Then and only then can we perhaps move on with our lives.”

Above is Kiriko’s fourth poem to Jason, including her Japanese calligraphy. Below is the content of the letter (minus the Japanese)

Dear Jason,

When you read a letter like this, your thoughts fly across oceans and over the highest mountains and come to us. Time means nothing. Distance is only a state in the country of your thoughts.
So it is with searching. You can find things even when you are not looking, though perhaps they are not the things you thought to look for at all. But you will still have found.
This poem is very old but it, too, has crossed time and place and language. You and I can cross those things, too. I wish you success on your search.

In the paths of my dreams
I walk to you without resting
but all of these dreams
are less than one moment
of seeing you
in the waking world

 Kiriko
